Ryan Allen

Ryan Allen is an aspiring actor, screenwriter, filmmaker, and journalist. A junior at Bellarmine College Preparatory, Ryan is devoted to exploring his talents through the many opportunities his school provides. As the Editor-in-Chief of the school paper, the Bellarmine Cardinal, Ryan has expanded his journalistic knowledge and even incorporated his cinematic interests by adding an A&E page. Since kindergarten, he has acted in six plays, the most recent being Bellarmine’s fall drama The Grapes of Wrath. Last year, Ryan also starred in fellow reviewer Delon Villanueva’s short film, A Waste of Time, which can be found on Delon’s Youtube channel Motor Lamb. He is currently writing another script for the Motor Lamb film group.
From these experiences, Ryan’s appreciation for film has grown exponentially. Straight out of the womb, Ryan suffered from a severe addiction to various Barney films. As his tastes developed, his avid love of film moved quickly through different series, from classic Disney movies, to Spider-Man, to James Bond (his 11th birthday present was a box set of every 007 film), to Harry Potter, to Bourne, and so on…
Ryan loves a multitude of film genres, particularly thrillers, comedies, horror and classics…though not necessarily in that order. He loathes rom-coms with a vengeance, and is ashamed to admit he’s seen 27 Dresses four times. Nevertheless, he embraces every film with an open mind, and is thrilled to be welcomed into the WeLiveFilm community.
