Matt The Movie Analyst

Dr. Matthew McKeague is a college professor, skit comedy member, and YouTube enthusiast. He’s also a male and a human being, in case you were curious. In his past, Matt has been a newspaper reporter, radio host, news editor, public relations writer, magazine writer, movie reviewer, blogger, and video editor. Needless to say, he has been busy.

Warping his brain at a young age,  British comedy greats such as Benny Hill and Monty Python began filling Matt’s mind when he was two years old which led him down a path of comedy obsession. Inspired by a long list of comedians, he began making his own video skits in high school and created a sketch comedy group. His comedic video productions, ranging from independent films to web series, have been viewed over 500,000 times on YouTube and been accepted at film festivals in the United States and Canada.

And to end, let’s just get this out of the way.  “Is this guy REALLY a doctor?” Yes, yes he is. Matt has a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communications, an M.S. in Journalism/Communication, and a Ph.D. in Communications Media & Instructional Technology. When watching a movie, he will rip apart plot holes and nonsensical scenes analyzing the movie as both a movie lover and somebody who knows the tricks of the movie-making trade.  He hopes to combine his humor, knowledge, and media insight to provide WeLiveFilm with quickly-paced, lighthearted, fun reviews.
