Samir Makhani (MafiaMovieMan) was born in Dallas, Texas. Growing up, he was not what you would consider a normal child. Instead of playing outside or playing video games, he would watch movies. He grew up loving everything Disney. His favorites were Toy Story and The Lion King. His room was filled with stuffed animals of Simba and posters of Buzz Lightyear.

When he was about seven years old, his older brother Shawn took him to see Batman Begins on the release date. That is the film that made him respect film and realize how much he loved it. Over the following years, he started to watch classic films, but one genre took his interest, Mafia films. He watched Goodfellas for the first time when he was 9. While it might have not been the most appropriate film for a 9 year old, he loved it. Since then he has loved all films, especially mafia films.

Now Samir is 15 and has a YouTube channel where he reviews all the newest films. On his 15th birthday, his brother got him his first HD camera and a editing system. Since then, he has been planning to make many short films, and he reviews films almost every week. Whenever he wants to have fun, he watches or reviews a movie. Samir Makhani lives film.
